Beryllium, Spor Mountain (Materion)

Almost all Western beryllium comes from a single bertrandite deposit in the Utah desert, worked by Materion. It is one of the rare critical metals where the United States, not China, holds the dominant link, yet concentration on a single mine stays extreme. No substitute in copper-beryllium alloys and defence optics.
