Fault line

After an air pocket in which Europe found itself without a sovereign launcher, Ariane 5 retired, Soyuz cut off by the war, Vega delayed, Ariane 6 restores autonomous access to orbit. But its cost and cadence place it far behind Falcon 9; it is a sovereignty alternative more than an answer to the commercial market. Its P120C solid boosters themselves depend on ammonium perchlorate.
