The largest integrated producer of aerospace titanium, VSMPO supplied before 2022 a major share of Boeing's and Airbus's needs, estimates diverge (from ≈35% to ≈80%). Boeing stopped direct purchases in 2022; Airbus, never fully sanctioned, is said to have fallen back to ≈20%. The forging of large landing-gear parts remains the hardest bottleneck to requalify.
