Fault line

Katanga concentrates copper, the nerve of all electrification, and cobalt in the same subsoil. The DRC has overtaken Peru into second place worldwide, but most of the mines and refining are under Chinese control (CMOC, Zijin). The metal of the world's cables, motors and batteries comes from a landlocked province with no direct access to the sea.
