Greenbushes, lithium (Western Australia)

The largest hard-rock lithium mine on the planet feeds on its own nearly a third of spodumene-derived supply. But the mine is owned by Tianqi (51% via Talison, with IGO) and Albemarle (49%): the capital control is Sino-American, and most of the concentrate goes to Chinese refineries. Australia extracts the raw resource, China captures the conversion into battery salts.
