Spanish olive oil, Andalusia

Spain supplies close to half the world's olive oil, most of it from Andalusia alone. The lock is climatic, the Mediterranean drought of 2022 and 2023 cut the harvest by more than 40% and sent world prices soaring; one region and one climate command the supply of a product with no equivalent substitute.
