Pharma vitamins, China (Zhejiang NHU)

China produces most of the world's vitamins, about 73% of vitamin A, 62% of vitamin E and more than 90% of vitamin C, after DSM, BASF and Lonza withdrew from their Western sites. These molecules, essential to pharmaceutical preparations and nutrition alike, no longer have any capacity alternative outside China. A disruption would quickly exceed global buffer stocks.
