World chicken, cheap protein

Chicken is the cheapest and most-traded animal protein in the world, yet its trade concentrates on two origins, Brazil, the leading exporter with about a third of volumes, and the United States. The lock is sanitary, an avian-flu outbreak in either basin shuts entire markets and unbalances the global supply of cheap protein.
