Photomasks, the negatives that project the circuits, are mostly etched in-house by the large foundries; the remaining merchant market concentrates on Photronics, Toppan and DNP. Foundries without a captive workshop depend on them entirely, notably for EUV masks, whose writing exists only at a handful of players.
